Day 9: Tallinn
Disney provided a shuttle out of the port area and dropped us off downtown. I then pulled out my Rick Steves Scandinavia book and followed his walking tour. Went very smoothly. First is the memorial to a passenger ferry that sank in 1994 - "The Broken Bridge" and the Fat Margaret Tower (the entry gate of the town)

Day 10: Stockholm
We got off the Magic at 7:45 and were going to take bus 76 or 1 to the VasaMuseet, but since it would have gotten us there before it opened we decided to take Disney's shuttle to Gamla Stan. We did an abbreviated Rick Steve's walking tour of Gamla Stan

After touring Gamla Stan we were going to take the HOHO ferry to the Vasamuseet, but the first ferry wasn't leaving for about 25 minutes (10:00). Instead we walked to the Vasamuseet - about 20-25 minutes. Very scenic along the water.
The kids loved the computer simulation on the top floor of the museum. There you try to construct a boat that wouldn't sink. You can change the style, width of boat, number of cannons, days worth of food storage and ballast.

Next an ice cream stop and 10 minute walk to the Skansen. The kids enjoyed watching the pottery making, bought 2 cups with their names on it. Bought a "swedish" danish, and quick fly by at the glassbowing. There is a small playground in the center of the park, where we let the kids be kids (but not too long - have to stay on schedule)
We left the park and met Mats and Sylvia, friends we met last year in Japan, at Restaurant Hasselbacken. We hate excellent smoked salmon and potatoes with a Swedish beer. The kids had pizza. After lunch we hopped on a bus and the walked along Kings/Queens St. Peeked into an Ecco store real quick and then got the kids ice cream.
It was then time to say goodbye; hopped on the 1 bus - it dropped us off at the pier. About a 10 minute walk to the terminal. We could hear the Abba music blasting from deck 9. Quick stop in the gift shop for "Swedish patches" and on the boat at 3:50. We heard the Disney bus site was mobbed.
