                                Valletta is known as the city built by gentleman, for gentleman.  The order of St. John  - Knight of Malta.
                                It's a 15 minute walk into town from the port.

                                The city of Valletta  is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

                                Hal Saflieni Hypogeum (Paola, Malta) - UNESCO World Heritage Site
                                         Huge underground cavity.  The Hypogeum consists of halls, chambers and passages hewn out of the living  
                                         rock and covering some 500 square metres dating from 3600-2400 BC 

                                Megalithic Temples of Malta - UNESCO World Heritage Site            
                                      Each the result of an individual development, 7  temples in Malta and Gozo, the oldest  from 5,000BC. 
                                     The oldest freestanding temples in the world are on the Island of Gozo. 
                                     Malta has  the temples Ħagar Qim, Mnajdra, Tarxien, Ta’ Ħaġrat and Skorba


                                Bus 11 from Vallerta running every 10-20 minutes goes to both excursion locations
                                The Tarxien temples are a 10 minute walk from Hal Saflieni Hypogeum
